Hey guys, I realize that I didn't post about Lily's interview with Jaynelle or posted about this week's outfits but oh well. Anyways, Lily interview Skrillooz (woozworld's version of Skrillex I assume).
Today, we’ll be chatting with Mixzit!’s biggest star… Skrillooz!
Today, we’ll be chatting with Mixzit!’s biggest star… Skrillooz!
LilyWooz: Hi Skrillooz! Thanks for being here today. So, how are you feeling over at Mixzit!?
Skrillooz: So good! Mixzit!’s really just the best fit for me. Plus, Max is a great friend so it’s easy and fun to work with him.
L: A good working environment is always important, especially for an artist like you! Speaking of working, I’ve heard that you can be quite shy. Is that true? I can’t imagine someone who gets on stage in front of thousand being too shy!
S: Yeah, it’s true, I can be pretty shy… I’m much more comfortable talking to one or two people than a group of people. I’m really nervous before every show I do, but seeing people enjoying my music gives me a lot of courage.
L: Wow, that’s amazing that you can work through your fears like that! Do you hope to inspire some of this courage in Woozens during WNS? What’s your goal in this competition?
S: Yes, and I want to show them that just because this is a competition, it doesn’t mean they have to be at each other’s throats. I want this competition to be more about inspiring courage and confidence and less about competitive behaviour. In the end, the best label will win. My favourite is Mixzit!, but I respect and understand that everyone has different tastes.
L: What a great perspective! Now, I have a little question about your style… Your hair in particular is very interesting! Some would say your style is punk or goth… How do you describe it?
S: Haha, yeah, I get a lot of comments about my hair, especially because I’m a guy, but, honestly… I just really like my hair this way. I’ve had a lot of different hairstyles, but this is definitely my favourite. As for my overall style… I’m not really sure how I’d describe it. I’m definitely not a fashionista by any means! I usually like dark colours, but sometimes I go for pops of neon, just to brighten things up.
L: Well, it’s definitely a unique look! You definitely seem to march to the beat of your own drum… You’re very independent! But, of course, there are rumours that you aren’t as independent as you let on… Some have even called you a hypocrite. How do you respond to these kinds of comments?
S: Well, it’s definitely true that I don’t express myself as strongly as some of my fellow artists do, but that’s just because I’m a shy guy… Nothing to do with being a hypocrite. I just don’t tend to express myself in front of a camera… I’d rather just speak with my fans directly. I wasn’t made for marketing.
L: That makes sense! Thank you so much for answering our questions today. Good luck with WNS!
